Nathaniel Chalobah signed a five-year deal at Vicarage Road in July 2017, joining for an undisclosed fee from Chelsea.

On the October 15, 2018, Nathaniel Chalobah became the first Watford player since John Barnes in 1983 to play for England. He was a stoppage-time substitute in England’s 3-2 away win against Spain in the UEFA Nations League group stages.

The midfielder has also played 97 times for England at various youth levels, and he was a key part of the Under-21s’ recent run to the semi-final of the European Championships.

The 22-year-old initially excelled during 42 appearances while on loan with the Hornets during the 2012/13 season, scoring five goals.

Since then he has spent temporary spells on loan from Chelsea with Nottingham Forest, Middlesbrough, Burnley, Reading and Napoli, before returning to the first-team fold at Stamford Bridge.

He featured 15 times for Premier League champions Chelsea during 2016/17, making his first league start for the Blues against Watford at the back end of the campaign.

He made a positive start to the 2017/18 season – appearing in the Hornets' first five games before injury disrupted the rest of his campaign. He did return, however, making a short cameo appearance on the final day of the season against Manchester United.

The 2018/19 season saw Chalobah play back-up to Étienne Capoue and Abdoulaye Doucouré, with the French midfield duo proving very difficult to dislodge with a series of stunning displays throughout the campaign.

Chalobah appeared 26 times during 2019/20, scoring once.

You may also exchange or refund your goods at The Hornets Shop located at Vicarage Road Stadium. Any items bought in-store can be returned at either of our stores at Vicarage Road and Atria Watford. In-store purchases cannot be returned via post and any requests for refunds or exchanges will be rejected.

All items must be returned in a new condition, with original packaging, and within 28 days. You must bring proof of purchase. We reserve the right to refuse a refund or exchange if the goods returned have been deemed to be damaged, worn or tampered with. This may include, marks, stains and other physical defects along with odours prevalent on the shirt including foul smells and cleaning products. This does not affect your statutory rights.

DVDs, CDs, books, magazines, programmes, jewellery, underwear, swimwear, hats and socks purchased through the Online Store will only be exchanged if deemed to be faulty.

Faulty/Damaged Items

If your item has arrived faulty, please contact or use the dedicated customer messaging service on our website for information regarding a return of the product. If your item was purchased longer than 6 months prior to any damages this will be considered general wear and tear and is not eligible for refunds or exchanges. Please do not resend items back to us at your own charge, as we are unable to reimburse any postage paid at your own cost.


Personalised items may only be accepted for return if the personalisation is incorrect or if the item is faulty. If a player leaves the club or changes his number whilst at the club, we are unable to provide a refund or exchange.
